HUNTSMEN & HUNTSMENT TENT

BEFORE YOU BEGIN READING THIS, PLEASE KNOW THAT THE TOP PORTION OF INFORMATION WILL BE FOR NEW PLAYERS AND THE BOTTOM PORTION IS FOR THOSE PLAYERS WHO HAVE PASSED THE FIRST HUNTSMEN TENT GOAL! YES IT'S WORDY BUT WHATEVER! JUST STOP, BREATH AND TAKE YOUR TIME READING :)

Huntsmen Tents can ONLY BE MOVED AROUND when huntsmen are sleeping/not working!

When you first start out in Golden Frontier, you have your main huntsman called Clyde. You can hire additional temporary huntsmen/workers to help Clyde produce items and manage his Frontier!

The following information will describe how to set up tents, how to upgrade and what that includes, and how to 'feed' your huntsmen.

(TOP PORTION FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED HUNTSMEN TENT GOAL)
You will have an introduction goal which will assist you in setting up your first huntsmen tent and walk you through. Please do not venture on your own and starting building and upgrading! Please wait and follow goal sequences during the first early stages of the game (some of us have found  that it is better to follow goal sequences throughout the ENTIRE game as there are goals with requirements asking players to purchase and/or upgrade areas, make certain items, etc...just wait for the goal and follow them in order so you do not waste your time, energy and resources.

I will not stress this clearly enough but DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BUILD AND UPGRADE A SECOND HUNTSMEN  TENT UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE INTRODUCTORY HUNTSMEN GOAL, AND A GOAL WHICH WILL ASK YOU TO UPGRADE YOUR FIRST HUNTSMEN TENT.  The reward for completing the introductory tent will include 'nails'. Nails require 3 huntsment and take 1hr & 30 mins to make. If you have not followed the first introductory goal and received nails as a reward, and moved on to building another tent, you will not have enough huntsmen working LONG ENOUGH TO PRODUCE NAILS, resulting in you not having enough nails, and nails are needed! If you find yourself in this situation, get ready to beg your neighbor friends to gift you nails. Please see this link and read Gifting/Wishlists..updating Wishlists, etc. http://gfintroduction.blogspot.ca/

(BOTTOM PORTION FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE PASSED INITIAL HUNTSMEN TENT GOAL)

To hire your first set of additional huntsmen, you will need to go to your Shop (icon located lower right of your game screen and purchase a Huntsmen Tent for 1000 coins. Finish upgrading tent to begin using your first 2 new temporary huntsmen. If you need additional huntsmen, purchase another tent and repeat upgrade process.  For every tent you purchase and build, you will gain 2 temporary workers.
Huntsmen tents are upgradeable. As you upgrade each tent, more time is given to how long your temporary workers will work for.
It is important to know that when performing tasks such as processing items, each item differs in how many huntsmen they require as well as how long it will take for the item to be made. Before making items, you will need to be mindful of how many available huntsmen you have, how much time they will work for and how long the item takes to process.  If you click on huntsmen tents, you can see how long your huntsmen are assigned to work, as well as how much time they have remaining. You may need to feed them again to reset the time if trying to make an item with long processing times. Some players will just let huntsmen work off their time on smaller projects rather than waste it away, then when the time runs out, they will feed them and assign them to the jobs which require the entire time allocated.

When you first purchase your tent, you will be required to 'set it up' before you can use your temporary workers. The following is a screen shot as to items needed:

Once you have completed the initial set up and click on the Build button, you will now have your very fist 2 temporary huntsmen who will work for 1 hr & 20 minutes!

You will have noticed that after you clicked on that "Build" button,  the following popup displayed...you can do one of 2 things here: One, you can feed your two workers and get them working, or Two, you can move to upgrade screen. Let's move to the Upgrade part for now (Information on feeding huntsmen will follow all the upgrade information). To begin upgrade process, click on blue "Upgrade building" button at the top.

Upgrading tents does NOT give you more huntsmen, it only increases the time your huntsmen will work for. To get additional huntsmen, you will nee to purchase another tent (for every tent you purchase, you will receive 2 huntsmen)

Your first upgrade will allow your workers to work from 1hr & 20 minutes to 2 hrs & 40 minutes.  The following is a screenshot of the items needed to complete upgrade.

Once you have completed the first upgrade, at any time when you want to increase the time they work to 4 hrs & 20 minutes, you need to click on the tent, then click on the blue Upgrade building button.

The next upgrade will allow huntsmen to work for 4 hrs & 20 minutes. The following is a screenshot of the items needed to complete upgrade.

The FINAL upgrade will allow huntsmen to work for 6hrs & 20 minutes. The following is a screenshot of the items needed to complete upgrade.

FEEDING HUNTSMEN!

Depending on which upgrades you have done to your Huntsmen Tents, the amount of food required will vary in terms of amount neede.

To feed your huntsmen, you can provide them food FREE by clicking on the bottom portion "Take from Friends". This will NOT DEDUCT food from your friends' storage. These are freebie food for YOU. Once you run out of freebie food you can wait until the profiles 'replenish' or you can use your own food by using the top portion area (you will need to make food in your own kitchen at that point if you do not have enough).

Once you have selected your freebie friend-food and filled your meter, click on the yellow "Feed" button....NOW STOP FOR A SECOND AND READ FIRST.....Once you have clicked on the FEED button, automatically attached to your mouse is a 'food server' icon of some sort...(cauldron, table or something else). You need to place it on your Frontier by finding an area which will highlight in green and click that area. You have just now placed your 'food server' so your huntsmen can begin eating. Once they are done eating, smilie faces will appear indicating they are ready to work. You can now put them to work!
